Meet Matthew
Chances are if you’ve made it to my site you’re an entrepreneur, executive, founder, or leader. For that, you have my respect and support. It’s not an easy path, but it is one of the most rewarding. And even though it comes with a very unique set of stressors, I wouldn’t want to do anything else.
Why SparkBridge?
Some of my most stressful times as a founder was when I was relying on someone else or an old growth strategy to bring us leads. Eventually, I had enough disappointment and began putting out our own content. Within the first week I had multiple videos go viral (over 1M views) and ended with ~20k followers.
Within 4 months I had grown it to over 140k followers and was close to 100M views. That’s fun and all, but what was more powerful was that I saw major increases in both new users and web traffic, as well as global demand for our product.
Now, I am helping small businesses and startups increase their amount of organic leads through offering tailored content strategies, coaching, and implementation.
If you’re curious whether or not content is right for your brand, reach out and let’s chat.
Background
I have been in founding roles for over a decade in both non-profits and tech startups. Plenty of time to learn a lesson or two, and many times the hard way.
Prior to launching SparkBridge, I was the co-founder and CEO of Check, a mobile app to help home service operators automate their business.
While running Check, I raised over $1.2M and gained expertise in content strategy, business development, fundraising, sales, and go-to-market strategy. In addition to gaining invaluable experience in those areas, staying on the startup rollercoaster for over 5 years provided consistent opportunities to develop my mental and emotional capacity while leading. Check was acquired in February 2024.
Prior to leading Check, I was a founding member of Antioch Community Church in Baton Rouge, which is coming up on its 12 year anniversary. In this position, I created processes, hired and managed staff, oversaw hundreds of volunteers each month, ran the day-to-day, and lead different ministries.
While serving in this role, I also earned my MBA from Louisiana State University (‘17).
